ISJ Conducts Awareness Campaign Against Illegal Gambling in Viana

The Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ), in coordination with the Municipal Administration of Viana, carried out several awareness and prevention activities against illegal gambling on Friday, July 17, targeting traders and customers at the Regedoria and Luanda Sul markets.

The awareness activities were led by Deputy Director General Cláudio Paulo, assisted by the Head of the Department of Supervision and Inspection, Afonso da Silva.

During the campaign, the ISJ team informed citizens about the risks associated with the illegal practice and operation of gambling activities, as well as the legal implications and responsibilities involved.

As part of the activities, ISJ distributed educational materials, including flyers, roll-ups, and posters containing messages discouraging illegal gambling and promoting legal and responsible gambling.

According to ISJ, the initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen supervision and inspection mechanisms in the gaming sector, with the aim of ensuring confidence in the sector, protecting vulnerable groups, safeguarding public health, and promoting responsible gambling.

The institute also reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying education, prevention, and inspection activities across the country while promoting respect for the law and encouraging citizens to participate in the fight against illegal gambling.
