The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) has strengthened its commitment to responsible gaming through a capacity-building seminar held in Jacqueville from October 20 to 23, 2026.
Organized by LONACI’s Autonomous Service of Quality and Responsible Gaming, the seminar, themed “Quality Days and Responsible Gaming 2026,” brought together quality and responsible gaming focal points, alongside members of the Responsible Gaming Committee, to prepare for the organization’s Level 4 certification.
The sessions were presided over by Antoine Koffi Essan, Head of the Autonomous Service of Quality and Responsible Gaming. Discussions focused on quality management, the prevention of underage gambling and gambling addiction, available support tools, and the use of the World Lottery Association (WLA) platform to monitor compliance with certification requirements.
Participants also developed the programme of activities for 2026, outlined planned actions for 2027, and prepared the documentation required for the certification process. As part of the seminar, the Responsible Gaming Committee held its first meeting to review communication campaigns and training programmes aimed at strengthening responsible gaming practices.
Certificates were presented to participants at the close of the seminar in recognition of their participation in the capacity-building initiative. The sessions also enabled teams to consolidate and process the data required for LONACI’s Management Review, scheduled for October 28, 2026.
Through these initiatives, LONACI reaffirmed its commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and player protection. The organization said the work would help strengthen its responsible gaming framework and advance its preparations for Level 4 certification.
