Novomatic Africa’s subsidiary has restructured its management team by appointing Chantel Crossley as the co-managing director of Novomatic Africa.
Crossley takes over this role from Sonya Nikolova, who served as a board member of Novomatic Africa for the past seven years.
Nikolova has chosen to return to Europe to assume a new global sales position at Novomatic’s headquarters in Austria.
Chantel Crossley joined Novomatic Africa in 2022, initially leading the finance department. In her new role, she will join Muriel Loftie-Eaton and Alexander Merwald as the co-managing director of the company.
Additionally, she will work alongside Alexander Merwald as the managing director for the group’s operations in Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland).
Expressing her enthusiasm, Crossley stated, “Since becoming part of the Novomatic Group, I have been eager to contribute to one of the world’s largest integrated gaming companies.
Now, I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to apply my management skills and experience on a strategic level to drive the group’s growth in the region.”
Alexander Merwald also shared his thoughts on the appointment, saying,
“Muriel Loftie-Eaton and I are thrilled to welcome Chantel Crossley as the managing director of the Novomatic Africa Group.
We are excited to collaborate with her in expanding Novomatic’s presence in the South African region.”
