Brady Ponnusami, an employee at Casinos de Maurice, has strongly condemned the recent decision to dissolve the committee that organized employee activities, calling it “revolting and unacceptable.” His sentiments reflect the concerns of many colleagues who are worried about the implications of this action.
Several employees have raised serious allegations, claiming that funds meant for their activities may have been misdirected. Compounding their frustration is the absence of a governing board to address these issues internally, prompting them to take action.
In their quest for transparency, employees have submitted a letter to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, urging clear explanations and corrective measures regarding the situation.
Their discontent is further fueled by the timing of the committee’s dissolution, which coincided with Ponnusami’s intent to formally report issues concerning fund management.
A representative from the state Investment Corporation (SIC) confirmed that they received a request from the union president to dissolve the committee, which management complied with. He assured employees that new elections would be held soon to elect new committee members.
Regarding the funds in question, he stated that they have not been spent, leaving many employees seeking clarity on the future of their planned activities.
As events unfold, employees remain steadfast in their demand for accountability, hoping their concerns will be addressed rather than ignored.
