On June 28, the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos played host to an electrifying moment as BetKing, in partnership with Nigerian Football legend Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, brought together thousands of participants to attempt a Guinness World Record for the most people keeping a football in the air.
This event served as the official launch of JJ BallX (BetKing’s new crash game) inspired by the rhythm and energy of Nigerian street football. From dazzling footwork to unforgettable crowd moments, JJ BallX celebrates the spirit of those who played barefoot.
Jay-Jay Okocha who is known for making defenders dance and for his iconic AFCON 2004 free kick, led the charge. He inspired not only awe on the field, but a generation’s belief in magic, unity, and movement.
The Event Highlighted, Guinness World Record attempt led by Jay-Jay Okocha, Live music, street vibes, and cultural celebration. Free jerseys and footballs were signed by the legend himsel during a massive turnout and contagious energy.
