Kampala, Uganda – September 6, 2023 – In a groundbreaking collaboration set to reshape Ugandan football, FUFA (Uganda’s Football Association) and BetPawa Uganda have joined forces in a historic partnership worth 1.1 billion Uganda Shillings (approximately $320,000 USD).
They made the announcement at a prestigious ceremony held at the Fairway Hotel in Kampala, marking a significant moment in Ugandan football history.

The official launch of this transformative partnership will include sponsorship for three key properties in the FUFA 23/24 season: FUFA Drum, the betPawa BIG League, and the betPawa Futsal League.

Mouyelo explained, “Under this partnership, we are introducing the Locker Room Bonus, which offers players fast and direct benefits.
The players who make the squad list per match will receive cash tokens sent to their phones after the game if their team wins.
We are setting aside 25% of the value of this partnership towards this LRB.”
