The Federal Government has approved the transformation of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission’s (NLRC) annual gaming conference into an international event in a move aimed at expanding Nigeria’s business horizons and fostering wealth creation for its citizens.
Lanre Gbajabiamila, the Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, unveiled this development in a statement released today in Abuja.
He outlined the preparations for the upcoming 2023 edition of the conference, scheduled to take place on October 31 and November 1.
Building on the significant success of the inaugural conference, which primarily involved key Nigerian stakeholders and industry players,
Gbajabiamila emphasized that the 2023 edition would witness the participation of influential figures from the gaming industry, both in Africa and globally.
The Director General stressed the commission’s deliberate efforts to provide Nigerian gaming industry leaders and potential investors with opportunities to engage and connect with leading figures from the global gaming industry.
This interaction aims to enhance their businesses, generate additional resources, and improve the overall gaming experience for Nigerians.
The theme of the 2023 International Gaming Conference,
“INNOVATION AND DISRUPTIONS: CORE STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS,”
reflects the growing importance of innovation in the industry. The event is set to take place at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
It will feature presentations, exhibitions, panel discussions, and a Gala Night, during which awards will be presented to outstanding stakeholders and players across various categories.
