The winner of the R124 million SA Powerball jackpot purchased their ticket using the Absa banking app. This lucky player, draw will take home an impressive R124,602,697.30.
According to National Lottery Ithuba, the winner spent R37.50 on their ticket and chose their numbers manually. In addition, seven players matched five numbers and each won over R115,000 in Division 2, while 49 other participants each took home more than R10,000 in Division 3.
“These winners purchased their tickets through various convenient platforms, including in-store retailers, banking apps, the National Lottery website, and the official mobile app,” Ithuba stated.
The jackpot winner is expected to contact Ithuba soon, as banks automatically notify winners of their winnings.
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza expressed excitement, saying, “We look forward to meeting the winner and learning about their plans for this huge jackpot. We encourage all participants to check their tickets to ensure they don’t miss out on winnings from other divisions.”
