B2B iGaming provider WA.Technology has announced a strategic joint venture with NE Group to introduce WA Africa, a significant move that marks the company’s entry into the African gaming markets.
This collaboration aims to leverage NE Group’s extensive experience and knowledge of the African market to provide tailor-made omnichannel platforms for emerging ventures across the continent.
The primary objective of WA Africa is to offer localized platforms that seamlessly integrate mobile, retail, and online gaming services. To achieve this, the joint venture will be supported by a specialized team with a deep understanding of the African market.
NE Group brings its modular platform, which combines sports betting and casino experiences, to enhance user engagement and improve player retention.
Imran Bukhari, CEO of NE Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the exceptional synergy between the two companies. He praised WA.Technology’s global expansion efforts, led by Tim Scoffham, and highlighted the value of NE Group’s sports betting platform and lightweight frontend solution designed specifically for the African market. Bukhari believes that this collaboration will empower sports betting operators to scale rapidly with confidence, while also delivering exceptional user experiences to African players.
This joint venture follows closely on the heels of WA.Technology’s strategic partnership with LatAm Entertainment, which was focused on entering the burgeoning Latin American iGaming market.
Through the collaboration, LatAm Entertainment, a regional consulting and advisory agency, provides legal and financial advice, licensing support, and networking opportunities to facilitate WA.Technology’s expansion in the region.
NE Group has further strengthened its team by appointing Craig Harris as the Head of Games. Harris brings with him 20 years of extensive industry experience and will play a pivotal role in NE Group’s expansion efforts.
With a specific focus on building a presence in Africa and Latin America, NE Group aims to extend the reach of its gaming apps, including the popular Cricdesi platform.
The launch of WA Africa and the strategic partnerships with LatAm Entertainment and NE Group demonstrate WA.Technology’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and catering to the unique needs of diverse iGaming markets.
As the African iGaming industry continues to grow, this joint venture is poised to offer innovative and localized gaming platforms that will enhance the gaming experience for African players and contribute to the overall development of the African iGaming ecosystem.
