For the first time, Premier Bet has provided K15 million to New Dawn Boxing Promotions to support a Super Lightweight bout featuring Snoden “Maximus” Munyanje and Mayamiko “Tyson” Mozland, scheduled for August 30 at Kumbali Castle and Lodge in Lilongwe.

Speaking at the handover ceremony in Lilongwe, Edson Kunkeyani, a senior official at Premier Bet, said the funding was provided as part of the company’s commitment to help elevate the sport of boxing in Malawi.

Kunkeyani noted that the goal is to give back to the people of Malawi while supporting local boxers to excel both domestically and on the international stage.

Micheal Chimaliza, owner of New Dawn Boxing Promotions, thanked Premier Bet for providing what he described as a significant level of funding the first of its kind for boxing in the country. He said the funds would be used to pay all the boxers competing at the event.

This is not the first time Premier Bet has partnered with New Dawn Boxing Promotions. In May this year, the company also supported a boxing bout between Byson “Fuso Fighter” Gwayani and Snoden “Maximus” Munyanje, reinforcing its continued commitment to the development of boxing in Malawi.
