The measure is set out in an internal information note signed by Lonase Director General and sent to all employees. The General Directorate of the Senegalese National Lottery (Lonase) has decided to suspend, as a precautionary step, the effects of all promotions and staff benefits granted during the past six months.

The note explains that the suspension does not cancel the promotions or benefits concerned. It is strictly temporary and precautionary, pending the completion of verification checks.

The General Management says the decision is intended to ensure that actions taken follow good governance practices and the company’s internal administrative rules. It adds that the move forms part of a review of management decisions conducted by the new General Management. Based on the review’s findings, the company will take further decisions and inform the relevant officials accordingly.

Promotions and benefits that have been suspended may be confirmed, changed, or otherwise dealt with depending on the outcome of the administrative review. The briefing note also states that the decision takes effect immediately once it is signed, and employees are required to comply with the measure until the verification process is concluded.
