Hardrock Football Club has secured a community partnership with betting and gaming company Beulabet, providing a boost to the club during its debut season in Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. The Kwekwe-based club features four Eswatini players: Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane, Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Thubelihle Mavuso and midfielder Yekisizwe ‘Madumane’ Khumalo.
According to Zimbabwean publication The Chronicle, the partnership was announced at Chahwanda on Saturday. The announcement coincided with Hardrock’s 2-0 victory over Bulawayo Chiefs, extending the team’s winning run to seven games. Both parties indicated that further details about the partnership and its benefits would be disclosed in due course. Beulabet Founder and Director Unesu Bingudza said the company was drawn to Hardrock by the club’s energy, determination and quality.
“We are very excited about the partnership with Hardrock Football Club. As everyone can see, Hardrock is a team full of energy. They are going places, and this partnership means a great deal to us,” Bingudza said, as quoted by The Chronicle.
He added that Beulabet currently has most of its operations in Bulawayo but plans to expand its presence by opening more branches across Zimbabwe.
“We operate in Zimbabwe. Currently, most of our presence is in Bulawayo, but soon we will be opening more branches throughout the country as we continue to grow. We expect to continue to grow it step by step, from glory to glory,” he said.
Bingudza also described the agreement as more than a football sponsorship, explaining that it aligns with the company’s broader commitment to supporting local communities and developing sports.
“We see this partnership as a way of returning some of our proceeds back into the community to grow sports in Kwekwe, the Midlands, and eventually across Zimbabwe,” he stated.
The Beulabet director also praised the Kwekwe community for welcoming the company at Chahwanda Stadium. He encouraged customers to gamble responsibly, emphasizing that gaming should be treated as entertainment rather than a means of making a living. The partnership comes as Hardrock continues its campaign in Zimbabwe’s top-flight league, with the club seeking to build on its recent run of victories.
