In response to Tuesday’s M-Pesa service interruption, Safaricom has shown appreciation to its customers by gifting cash.
The company expressed gratitude for customer patience during the outage and sent a message saying,
“Please enjoy some cash back as a token of our gratitude, we appreciate you.”
Safaricom went on to provide the writer with Sh20, confirming the transaction with the message, “Confirmed, you have received Sh20 from Mpesa offers.”
During the service disruption, M-Pesa users encountered issues, with Safaricom acknowledging the incident.
Attempts to transact displayed a message stating, “The parameters of data sources are null null,” affecting both M-Pesa transactions and the M-Pesa app.
In a subsequent statement, Safaricom assured users, “All M-Pesa services are now available.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience as we worked to restore services.”
The cash reward serves as a gesture of appreciation to M-Pesa users for their understanding during the temporary disruption.
