SportyBet Kenya has announced a KSh 380 million sponsorship partnership with Nairobi United FC, becoming the club’s Official Betting Partner in a major development for Kenyan football.
The partnership was launched on Thursday, 5 November 2026, at Mass House in Nairobi. Club leaders, football stakeholders, players and invited guests gathered to mark a new chapter for the team, popularly known as the Naibois.
The event included the formal announcement, the presentation of a ceremonial KSh 380 million cheque and the unveiling of Nairobi United’s new SportyBet-branded jerseys. The partnership is intended to support the club’s continued development and ambitions.
For Nairobi United, the partnership marks an important milestone in the club’s rapid rise through Kenyan football. The Naibois enjoyed a breakthrough 2024/25 season, earning promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League after winning the National Super League title.
The club went on to complete a historic domestic double, defeating Gor Mahia 2–1 in the FKF Cup final and securing a place in continental competition. Those achievements have made Nairobi United one of Kenya’s emerging football success stories. The SportyBet partnership gives the club an opportunity to build on that progress.
Speaking at the launch, SportyBet Kenya Country Manager Dianne Maina Nyakio said the partnership reflected the company’s commitment to building a meaningful relationship with the club. She said it was expected to support player welfare and professional development, as well as strengthen engagement with football supporters.
Addressing the players, Nyakio pledged the company’s support:
“To the players, you are the heart of this venture, and we stand with you.”
One of the evening’s highlights was the official jersey presentation. Representatives from both organizations unveiled Nairobi United’s new playing kits, featuring prominent SportyBet branding. The jerseys were presented in two designs: white with orange detailing, and yellow with green detailing. The kits reflect the club’s evolving identity while introducing its new commercial partner.
The event also featured the ceremonial cheque presentation, engagements between the organization’s leaders and photographs with the playing squad, underscoring the occasion’s importance to both parties. For Nairobi United’s leadership, the announcement comes as the club works to establish itself as a competitive force in the top flight.
Beyond the commercial agreement, the partnership highlights the growing role of private-sector investment in Kenyan football. Corporate sponsorships can help clubs improve their financial stability, access more resources and build stronger relationships with supporters.
The SportyBet–Nairobi United partnership could also create opportunities for collaborative football content, match-day engagement and community-focused activities, in line with the agreed sponsorship programme. With the partnership officially unveiled, attention now turns to how the two organizations will translate the announcement into tangible progress for the club.
The evening celebrated both Nairobi United’s achievements and the launch of the new partnership. It also featured an unexpected performance by Heha Movers, the viral comedy and content-creation group from Kibera (Kibra), Nairobi, who brought an entertaining element to the celebration.
The financial boost marks a major development for the Naibois, a club backed by the Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja’s Foundation. The funding is expected to strengthen the club’s operations, support player recruitment and provide greater financial stability as it works to establish itself among Kenya’s leading football teams.
