The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced the immediate suspension of the Gambling license for Kings Bet Ltd, citing repeated violations of gaming laws and directives issued by RDB.
In a statement released on Monday, August 25, RDB instructed the company to cease all gaming operations immediately. The public has been warned not to participate in any of Kings Bet’s games until further notice.
RDB emphasized that any continued operations could lead to the permanent revocation of the license. The statement read:
“Any continued operation after this notice is unlawful and will result in further enforcement measures, including permanent revocation of the license.”
The board reminded all licensed operators to strictly adhere to the terms of their approved licenses. Unlicensed or unauthorized activities are illegal and may result in strict enforcement actions, including suspension or revocation of licenses.
RDB reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers and the integrity of the gambling sector by ensuring compliance with national laws. Since July of last year, RDB has been empowered to serve as the national regulator for lottery and gambling activities.
