The National Lottery Burkinabè (LONAB) proudly hosted an official handover ceremony today for two lucky winners of significant prizes at the Pari Mutuel Urban Burkinabè (PMU’B). The event took place at the Karpala ECD hall and was led by Mr. Dieudonne VEBAMBA, Technical Advisor, representing LONAB’s General Manager, Mr. Ibrahim Ben Harouna ZARANI.

Mr. Léon KOMPAORE and Mr. Boureima ILBOUDO, both commercial employees, joined the ranks of multi-millionaires with total winnings of 12,290,000 FCFA. Mr. Léon KOMPAORE placed a bet of 16,800 FCFA and correctly predicted the numbers at 4+1 on February 1, 2026, winning an impressive 77,068,000 FCFA. His cheque was presented by the Technical Advisor on behalf of the CEO of LONAB.

Similarly, Mr. Boureima ILBOUDO placed his bet at 4+1 on February 6, 2026, and, with the correct combinations of 1 order +1 bonus, secured 45,222,000 FCFA. During the ceremony, Mrs. Nicole REMENE/YILBOUDO, Head of Agency Ouaga 1, welcomed attendees to the new ECD room in Karpala, which opened on November 7, 2025. She expressed her gratitude to all bettors for their continuous passion and trust in LONAB products.

In a speech delivered by the Technical Advisor, the CEO of LONAB congratulated the winners on behalf of the entire staff, expressing hope that their winnings would enable them to make positive changes in their lives through wise investments for themselves and their families.
