Betano Ghana Refunds Outright Bets After Ghana World Cup Exit

Betano Ghana Refunds Outright Bets

Betano Ghana has refunded customers who placed outright bets on Ghana to progress further at the FIFA World Cup 2026 following the Black Stars’ exit in the Round of 32.

The Black Stars entered the tournament with the support of fans across Ghana, but their campaign ended after a 1-0 defeat to Colombia. Ghana had advanced from Group L as one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Avenue Show, Betano Ghana Marketing Manager George Bright-Abu said the refund was made as a patriotic gesture.

“In the spirit of patriotism, we are refunding the funds to players who bet on the outright markets.”

He added:

“Instead of voiding those bets, we’ve taken a bold decision to refund our player, in our own little way, to support the Black Stars.”

Customers who placed qualifying outright bets have been advised to check their account balances through the Betano Ghana app or website to confirm that the refunds have been credited.

With the FIFA World Cup nearing its conclusion, Betano Ghana is encouraging fans to look ahead to the new football season and upcoming action across Europe’s top leagues and other competitions.

The operator also highlighted its welcome offer, with new customers able to register and receive up to GH¢2,000 for their online betting experience.
