Betclic Improves Road Safety Initiative Across Côte d’Ivoire

Betclic Extends Road Safety Initiative Across Côte d'Ivoire

Betclic Côte d’Ivoire has continued its commitment to improving road safety through the latest phase of its “Betclic in Your City” campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting safer road practices and supporting motorcycle riders across the country.

Motorcycles play a vital role in Côte d’Ivoire, providing an essential means of transport and a source of income for thousands of families. However, their widespread use has also brought increased road safety challenges, making awareness and access to protective equipment more important than ever.

Launched last year in collaboration with public authorities and local stakeholders, the “Betclic in Your City” campaign was designed to encourage responsible road use while providing practical support to communities. Through the initiative, Betclic engages directly with residents to better understand the realities they face on the road, promotes safer driving habits, and distributes protective helmets to motorcycle riders.

The campaign resumed in May and has already made stops in Ferkessédougou, Man, and Gagnoa. Since the restart, more than 4,500 helmets have been distributed to riders, helping to improve access to essential safety equipment while reinforcing the importance of wearing helmets to reduce the risk of serious injuries in road accidents.

In addition to helmet distribution, the campaign serves as a platform for dialogue between road users, local authorities, and community leaders, fostering greater awareness of road safety issues and encouraging a culture of responsible behaviour.

Betclic Côte d’Ivoire said the initiative reflects its long-term commitment to supporting the communities where it operates through meaningful and practical action. By combining public awareness efforts with tangible safety measures, the company aims to contribute to safer roads while improving the daily lives of people who rely on motorcycles for work, transportation, and supporting their families.

As the campaign continues its journey across Côte d’Ivoire, Betclic plans to reach more communities, further strengthening its contribution to road safety and community development across the country.
