Betika, through its Betika Na Community initiative, has supported a historic grassroots football collaboration in Kinshasa that brought together three football bodies: Entente Kilimani, Entente Lipopo and Entente Malebo for the Super Coupe of the season.
The event marked what organizers described as the first time in the history of grassroots football in Kinshasa that the three Ententes had come together to participate in a Super Coupe, creating a platform for greater collaboration among local football structures.
Through Betika Na Community, Betika said it aims to support the development of football at grassroots level by working with local teams and football organizations and creating greater visibility for emerging talent.
The company said grassroots football plays an important role in helping young players discover and develop their abilities while building discipline, confidence and aspirations to pursue football at higher levels.
Rather than focusing solely on individual competitions, Betika said its community initiative is intended to contribute to the broader development of the local football ecosystem by supporting teams, football structures and community-based sporting activities.
The Super Coupe brought together players, coaches, referees, officials, supporters and representatives of the three Ententes, highlighting the potential for collaboration between different grassroots football organizations in Kinshasa.
Betika described the event as another milestone for the Betika Na Community initiative and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting grassroots football and community development in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The collaboration between Kilimani, Lipopo and Malebo also provided an opportunity to strengthen connections between local football structures while giving players greater exposure through a major grassroots sporting event.
Betika said it will continue to support initiatives aimed at strengthening communities, developing sporting talent and contributing to the growth of football from the grassroots level.
The company’s involvement in the Kinshasa Super Coupe reflects the growing role of community-focused initiatives in supporting local football development and creating opportunities for young players across the Democratic Republic of Congo.
