This decision comes in response to challenging market conditions in Senegal. High taxes, a single payment monopoly, and heavy regulatory fees have created an uneven playing field.

As a result, locally licensed and taxed operators such as betPawa are unable to compete fairly with offshore companies, making compliant and competitive operations unsustainable.

In other African markets where taxation is balanced and payment systems are open, betPawa has successfully provided responsible and innovative gaming services. These operations have helped expand the industry, boost government tax revenues, and create jobs.

Unfortunately, in Senegal, restrictive conditions have driven much of the activity offshore, reducing the positive impact that regulated operators can have on the economy and community.
