Tekno ambassadorship with BetPawa

Nigerian singer and record producer Augustine Kelechi, better known as Tekno, has been named the ambassador for gaming and entertainment company BetPawa ng. This announcement follows BetPawa’s donation of N500 million to the Nigeria National League as part of its efforts to expand into football gaming.

The unveiling ceremony took place at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Known for smash hits like “Pana,” “Duro,” and “Skeletun,” Tekno is stepping into a fresh role that will see him lead nationwide campaigns blending music, lifestyle, and entertainment.

The partnership signals BetPawa’s intent to tap into Nigeria’s vibrant youth culture by combining the energy of Afro-pop with the thrill of gaming.

At the unveiling ceremony, Tekno described the partnership as a perfect match, noting that both parties share a drive to push boundaries. “I’ve always been about breaking boundaries and inspiring people. BetPawa is doing the same in its space, creating opportunities and celebrating winners. Together, we’re going to give fans something exciting to look forward to,” he said.

Borah Ndanyungu, BetPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, reflected on the importance of the partnership, stating that Tekno’s music connects with millions of gaming and football fans. “Tekno represents everything we stand for: energy, creativity, and passion. His music resonates with millions across Africa, just as football and gaming do. We’re proud to welcome him to the family,” he added.

The event attracted fans, influencers, and industry figures, with Tekno’s appearance generating significant buzz. Guests were treated to a preview of campaigns that will merge gaming with Afro-pop’s bold rhythms, promising a new wave of youth-driven experiences.
