Bettomax Liberia has signed a landmark three-year partnership with the Liberia Football Association (LFA) to sponsor the Bettomax Champions Cup, a prestigious pre-season tournament set to take place before each LFA regular football season. This agreement, which can be reviewed for extension, reflects Bettomax Liberia’s commitment to promoting the growth of football in Liberia.

Football is more than just a sport in Liberia; it’s a passion that unites the community. Bettomax Liberia aims to lift the game through investment and support. This initiative marks Bettomax Liberia’s third major involvement in football, following sponsorships with:

• Watanga FC in the LFA Men’s First Division
• Shaita Angels Football Club in the LFA Women’s Upper League

Bettomax Liberia has also demonstrated strong social responsibility through monthly charitable donations of U.S. $1,000 alongside its sponsored clubs. Beneficiaries include major hospitals such as:

• John F. Kennedy Medical Hospital
• Catholic Hospital
• Redemption Hospital
• Various orphanages and medical institutions across Liberi

The Bettomax Champions Cup will feature the top eight teams from the LFA Men’s First Division season. The format includes:

• Two groups with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals
• Winners of the semifinals competing in the grand final
• Losing semifinalists battling for third place

Recognizing the growing influence of women’s football, future editions of the tournament may include women’s clubs, promoting inclusivity in the competition. All participating teams will receive cash prizes structured as follows:

• Champions: U.S. $10,000
• Runners-Up: U.S. $5,000
• Third Place: U.S. $3,500
• Fourth Place: U.S. $3,000
• Fifth Place: U.S. $2,000
• Sixth Place: U.S. $2,000
• Seventh Place: U.S. $2,000
• Eighth Place: U.S. $2,000

For the inaugural edition, league champions FC Fassell will not participate due to prior travel commitments. In their place, Blackman Warrior, who finished ninth last season, will join the tournament.

The 2025 Bettomax Champions Cup will commence on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and conclude on Sunday, September 7, 2025. All matches will be held at Tusa Field in Gardnersville.
