Emerald Bay Zambia Limited (T/A Betway), the leading sports betting and gaming brand in Zambia has secured the 2023 Most Compliant Taxpayer in Lusaka Province. This was announced at the 2024 Taxpayer’s Day hosted by the Zambia Revenue Authority at Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka on Thursday 12th September 2024.
Speaking at the event, ZRA Commissioner General Dingani Banda expressed optimism at the rate of compliance in 2023, “In comparison to 2022, the number of registered taxpayers contributing to revenue collection grew by 14.0% from 86, 489 in 2022 to 98,572 in 2023. Similarly, the active taxpayer population expanded by 10.1% from 486,492 in 2022 to 535,735 in 2023. This is an indication of improving tax compliance levels during the past two years.”
