In a major boost for citizen economic empowerment and responsible digital gaming, BetXplosion has been officially launched in Bontleng, Gaborone. The 100% citizen-owned bookmaker-licensed by the Gambling Authority in August 2024 employs 25 Batswana and is committed to 90% local sourcing and 5% GGR investment into CSR.
“This launch is not just about business – it’s about reinforcing our shared commitment to a regulated, inclusive gambling industry that protects the public interest,” said Gambling Authority Board Chairman, Mr. Marvin T. Torto during his keynote address. He added, “We urge BetXplosion to lead by example – in compliance, innovation, community development, and player protection.”
The Authority emphasized responsible gambling, zero tolerance for underage play, and AI integration to monitor behavior and prevent money laundering.
