A significant milestone in the development of Botswana’s gaming and gambling sector was achieved today as the Gambling Authority, headed by CEO Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, partnered with the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA), led by Acting CEO Dr. Gloria Semolekae, to review the Gaming and Gambling Policy.
During the meeting, key insights were shared regarding the project’s goals and expectations, with Dr. Gaokanye Tapeng providing an overview of the objectives. Dr. Molefe Phirinyane elaborated on the implementation plan for the policy review. The event culminated in the signing of a collaboration contract, which was followed by a tour of the Gambling Authority offices.
This partnership aims to create a diversified, compliant, and safe gambling industry that promotes economic growth while emphasizing responsible gambling practices.
