Bwinners Goes Live with QTech Across West and Southern Africa

Bwinners, a leading African operator, has reported strong increases in turnover, player engagement and retention following its decision to integrate the QTech aggregation platform across its brands in Western and Southern Africa.

The rollout has covered Bwinners Lesotho, Bwinners Gambia, Bwinners Zimbabwe and Bwinners Zambia, with the operator already reporting significant growth and increased activity following the multi-brand go-live.

As an early indicator of the partnership’s impact, turnover increased by 37% in July, reflecting strong month-on-month growth. Q3 turnover was also 86% higher than in Q2, highlighting sustained momentum across Bwinners’ brands.

QTech’s extensive casino content includes a range of localized games, particularly across popular mini-verticals such as crash and lightweight games. These formats are increasingly popular among African players and operators, helping to overcome user experience challenges associated with varying handset quality, limited access to fast networks and high data costs.

The QTech-Bwinners partnership is therefore driving measurable growth through a combination of quality content, regional campaigns and market-focused collaboration. The partnership will also leverage QTech’s new multi-sportsbook approach, which expands Bwinners’ active product suite with leading providers such as BETBY and Song88.

Among the top-performing providers now available to Bwinners customers through the QTech integration are Spribe, Pragmatic Play Casino, BEON Gaming, Smartsoft and InOut Games. Combined with localized engagement strategies and QTech’s flexible marketing campaigns and tools, the expanded content offering has contributed to sustained bottom-line performance.

The partnership is built on the strength of QTech’s proprietary platform and its collaborative approach to working with clients, from established operators to local challengers, to achieve shared objectives. With market dynamics varying significantly across Africa, strategies that work in one country may not necessarily deliver the same results in another.

Close collaboration with Bwinners has therefore been key to addressing specific market requirements and adopting innovations that support growth. These include the use of local data to enhance QTech’s recommendation engine and the deployment of its Value-Added Services, while also addressing different technical challenges across markets.

QTech continues to enhance its platform’s functionality to optimize performance. By collecting, analyzing and refining data, the company can identify emerging trends and use those insights to inform strategic decisions. As an aggregator, QTech has a broad view of activity across multiple markets, allowing it to draw insights from both operators and suppliers and develop more targeted strategies.

Players across markets from Zimbabwe to Gambia are increasingly demanding betting experiences that are engaging, easy to understand and tailored to their individual preferences. QTech and Bwinners have combined their complementary strengths to deliver a smoother user journey, alongside a flexible content offering that is locally relevant and appealing to the next generation of players.

The partnership is also expected to strengthen cross-sell opportunities between sportsbook and iCasino. With the recent World Cup and the upcoming renewal of the EPL and Champions League campaigns, these opportunities are particularly important for African sportsbooks, where football betting products remain a major driver of customer acquisition and retention.

Agatha Wanjugu, QTech’s Account Manager for the region, said:

“Bwinners has been a great partner to work with because they are proactive, open to new ideas and very focused on what works for their players in each market. As their Account Manager, I’ve really enjoyed working alongside their team to support campaigns, optimize their content mix and identify new opportunities. The progress we’re seeing across their markets, particularly Zimbabwe, is a strong reflection of what we can achieve when both teams work closely together.”

Ekaterina Mayorova, Head of Region – Africa at QTech, commented:

“It’s a privilege to have been chosen by an operator as fast-moving and ambitious as Bwinners, and to have been entrusted with helping to scale their footprint across Western and Southern Africa. We place a premium on understanding markets at a hyper-local level to define a pathway to success in Africa’s ever-evolving landscape.

“As Bwinners has found to their benefit, QTech provides a single technical and commercial gateway to a broad portfolio of casino and sportsbook content for emerging markets, and we’re both thrilled by these promising early results. We’re also excited to offer our growing range of sports betting and casino suppliers, whose complementary strengths provide the optionality and agility needed across the African landscape.”

Jamsed M, Marketing and Director, added:

“We are scaling quickly across West and Southern Africa, and we needed a partner who could scale with us rather than one we’d outgrow in a year. QTech’s single gateway to both casino and sportsbook content lets us launch a new brand without rebuilding our tech stack each time, while their data and campaign tools help us cross-sell between sports and casino – critical for us heading into the new EPL and Champions League season.

“The early results across our brands have exceeded what we expected, and this is only the start of what we plan to build together.”
