FC 22 San Pedro has been crowned champion of the 10th edition of the LONACI/Sportcash Tournament, winning the Dramane Coulibaly Trophy after a 3-2 victory over Djékanou FC in a thrilling final held in Dimbokro.
The final took place on September 5, 2026, at the Maracana de Djoulakro in Dimbokro, bringing the 10th edition of the tournament to a dramatic conclusion.
Both teams started strongly, with the match featuring an intense pace, strong competition and five goals. FC 22 San Pedro ultimately secured the decisive advantage with three goals, while Djékanou FC finished with two.
Despite falling behind, Djékanou FC continued to apply pressure and kept the contest competitive through the closing stages. The closely fought encounter maintained the attention of the spectators until the final whistle.
Following the victory, FC 22 San Pedro players and supporters celebrated the team’s triumph and the opportunity to lift the Dramane Coulibaly Trophy.
The final was attended by Dramane Coulibaly, Director General of LONACI and patron of the tournament, alongside Gouessé Jules, Prefect of the N’Zi Region, traditional leaders, elected representatives and departmental officials from Dimbokro. Former Ivorian football stars Zézéto and Zoro Marc were also present at the event.
The 10th edition brought together 24 teams from different parts of Côte d’Ivoire and officially began on August 8, 2026. Beyond the competition itself, the tournament promoted football, fair play, social cohesion and community engagement.
As champions, FC 22 San Pedro received FCFA 1 million, the Dramane Coulibaly Trophy and jerseys. Djékanou FC, the runners-up, received FCFA 500,000.
The tournament concluded with a dinner hosted by Dramane Coulibaly in honor of the participating teams and other guests, bringing the 10th edition to a close.
With FC 22 San Pedro securing the title after a closely contested final, the 2026 edition of the LONACI/Sportcash Tournament ended on a high note, combining competitive football with a celebration of community and sporting values.
