The Gaming Commission of Ghana recorded a strong performance at the 2026 Inter-Agency Games, winning two gold medals, one silver and one bronze across four sporting events.
Held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon, the annual competition brought together agencies under the Ministry of the Interior for a day of sporting contests and inter-agency engagement.
The Commission secured its first gold medal in the women’s 100-metre race, finishing ahead of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), which placed second, and the Ghana Refugee Board, which came third. Its second gold medal came in draughts, where Acting Gaming Commissioner Dr Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo emerged victorious after competing against participants from other agencies.
The Commission also claimed silver in the Ludo competition, finishing second after reaching the final, while its representative in the women’s sack race secured bronze.
Beyond the sporting achievements, the Inter-Agency Games provided an opportunity for participating institutions to strengthen relationships, encourage teamwork and promote healthy competition among Ghana’s security and regulatory agencies.
The Gaming Commission commended the Ministry of the Interior for organizing the event and creating a platform for staff from different agencies to interact beyond their professional responsibilities.
It also congratulated the participating staff, athletes and supporters whose efforts contributed to the Commission’s performance. The medal haul highlighted the sporting abilities and team spirit of the Commission’s employees, reflecting its commitment to collaboration and excellence.
