As part of the reinforcement of supervision and inspection actions in the gaming sector, the Director General of the Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ), Dr. Nerethz Tati, held, a field workday, accompanied by the Head of the Department of Supervision and Inspection, Afonso Hermenegildo, by the Head of the Department of Support to the Director General, Fernando Costa and by a technical team from the Department of Supervision and Inspection.

During the trip, the delegation visited several points of sale and mediators from different licensed operators, with the aim of closely monitoring the operation of the activity, verifying compliance with the legislation in force and strengthening the proximity between the regulator and the agents of the sector.

In the course of the action, it was possible to collect information from operators, identify challenges, opportunities and good practices, in order to support more effective decisions and policies, which contribute to an increasingly organized, transparent and responsible sector.

The working visit also enabled the Institute to reinforce the importance of ongoing dialogue with licensed operators, encouraging greater collaboration in addressing operational challenges and promoting full compliance with regulatory requirements. Such engagements contribute to strengthening trust between the regulator and industry participants while supporting the sustainable development of the gaming sector.

The initiative is part of the ISJ’s strategy to intensify monitoring actions on the ground, promoting closer, preventive supervision aimed at strengthening the integrity of the sector, as well as consumer protection and strict compliance with the legal framework.

The Gaming Supervision Institute thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting an increasingly responsible, transparent gaming market, in line with the principles of legality, as well as with the interests of the State and society.
