LONAB Awards New PMU Winners with CFA 149 Million

LONAB Awards CFA 149 million to Two PMU Winners in Ouagadougou

The National Lottery of Burkina Faso (LONAB) held the official draw of large prizes on July 30, 2026, awarding two lucky winners in the 4+1 event of Burkinabe Urban Mutual Betting (PMU’B).

The draw took place at LONAB headquarters in Ouagadougou, and was presided over by Comrade Yamba Jean ZIDA, Director of Sports Operations, representing the Director General, Comrade Ibrahim Ben Harouna ZARANI.

LONAB once again made multimillionaires, distributing a total of 149,079,000 CFA francs to the two winners. Issaka KOANDA, a professional carpenter, made the correct predictions for the 4+1 draw on July 10, 2026. With a bet of 300 CFA francs, he won 76,699,000 CFA francs.

The second winner, Kiswendsida Aristide KABORE, a driver for the state, found the right combination in the 4+1 draw on July 3, 2026. He also bet 300 CFA francs and received 72,380,000 CFA francs.

Moved by his good fortune, Kiswendsida Aristide KABORE shared his journey as a gambler and explained how he plans to manage his winnings. He said he began playing several years ago and that, in a game of chance, “it is God who chose the day.” According to him, God decided that with a bet of 300 CFA francs, he would receive this gain.

Aware of the importance of the amount, he chose caution, explaining that he prefers to keep the money in a bank and take time to think about where to invest, rather than making hasty decisions that could be inappropriate.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by the Director of Sports Operations, the Director General of LONAB warmly congratulated the winners and wished that the prizes would bring stability and lasting success. He noted that each prize distribution is tangible proof of the credibility of the National Lottery.

“Today, we are not simply handing out checks. We are celebrating hope,” he said, adding that LONAB demonstrates that winners do exist and that winnings are actually paid.
