The Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Aboubacar NACANABO, and the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Roland SOMDA, have jointly presided over the signing of a sponsorship agreement between the National Lottery Burkinabè (LONAB) and Sportpub International, the organizing body of the Tour International Cyclist du Faso.
Through this agreement, LONAB contributes FCFA 100 million to ensure the success of the 36th edition of the Tour du Faso. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Chairman of LONAB’s Board of Directors, the Director General, and several distinguished guests.
This partnership officially designates LONAB as the “Official Sponsor” of the 36th Tour du Faso, reinforcing the company’s long-standing support for the nation’s premier sporting event.
Each year, as part of its corporate social responsibility, LONAB demonstrates its commitment to promoting sport — particularly cycling, the most popular sport in Burkina Faso.
“LONAB’s support is part of its duty of social responsibility,” stated Minister Aboubacar NACANABO, emphasizing the company’s vital role in national development.Minister Roland SOMDA expressed appreciation for the sponsorship, highlighting how this substantial contribution helps address the challenge of resource mobilization for the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ibrahim Ben Harouna ZARANI, Director General of LONAB, described the sponsorship as a source of pride for the company.
