LONACI and COMICI Partners to Enhance Educational Landscape

The EPP Diamala Marie-Emmanuelle, part of the Miss Côte d’Ivoire initiative, was officially inaugurated in the SOS Residential district of Aboisso. This partnership between the LONACI Foundation and the COMICI Foundation underscores a shared commitment to improving the well-being of the Ivorian population through community-driven projects.

The inauguration ceremony drew local government officials, community leaders, and representatives from both foundations, highlighting their collaborative effort to foster development in Côte d’Ivoire. After being crowned Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2024, Diamala Marie-Emmanuelle selected the SOS Residential district as the site for her new primary school, showcasing her dedication to the local community.

The newly constructed primary school features six fully equipped classrooms, an office for the principal, a shop, and modern latrines. This facility is designed to provide a conducive learning environment for children in the area. The project was fully funded by the LONACI Foundation with a total budget of FCFA 82,599,234—of which FCFA 69,943,243 was allocated for construction and FCFA 12,656,000 for equipment.

During the key handover ceremony, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, Director General of LONACI and President of the Board of Directors of the LONACI Foundation, expressed his aspirations for the school. “We hope this school will improve learning conditions for children in Aboisso,” he stated. He also urged the educational community to ensure the school is well-maintained and effectively utilized.

This new school is the fifth social initiative resulting from the collaboration between the LONACI Foundation and the COMICI Foundation. Other successful projects include:

Through these initiatives, both foundations have reaffirmed their commitment to educational advancement, aligning with the vision of His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
