The LONACI FOUNDATION strengthens its commitment to education. It has provided two modern school facilities to two villages in the Kouto department. The total investment is 158,620,718 FCFA.

On Wednesday, October 28, the Foundation Executive Director Guédé Marc Sakoa presented the keys. Moreover, the event highlighted the new school in Tounvré, 12 kilometers from Kouto.

The facility includes six primary classrooms, a preschool building, administrative offices and latrines. It is fully equipped with educational furniture and was built at a cost of 105 million FCFA. The Foundation also distributed 150 school kits to pupils.

“Each classroom built is a promise of a future for the youth,” Sakoa said.

He noted that the project reflects the Foundation’s social mission under the leadership of its president, Dramane Coulibaly, who is also LONACI’s general director.

Speaking on behalf of Tounvré residents, village spokesperson Koné Jacques thanked the Foundation and offered his best wishes to Coulibaly and LONACI staff.

Amalaman Moïse, representing the prefect, urged residents to take care of the new facilities.

The following day, the Foundation’s solidarity caravan traveled to Ziasso, a village with about 500 pupils across two schools. At EPP Ziasso, it provided three furnished classrooms, desks and benches, and latrines. The project cost 52,631,991 FCFA. Some pupils had previously attended classes in makeshift conditions. Sakoa urged teachers and parents to make the new school “a space of excellence, discipline, and success”.

Bamba Munro, president of the Ziasso Mutual Association, welcomed the project, saying it would bring greater stability to the community and create new opportunities for children. Silué Zontia, representing the Regional Director of National Education, encouraged families to enroll their children, particularly girls. “Education remains the only guarantee of a bright future,” he said.

The Foundation said the projects reflect its commitment to improving access to quality education and creating better learning conditions for children. After Kouto, the solidarity caravan is scheduled to visit Sinématiali, Ferkessédougou and Katiola before concluding in Dabakala on November 10, 2026.
