The LONACI Foundation has launched the first edition of its summer camp, bringing together 100 children of employees of the National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) for a 10-day programme in Bouaké.

Before their departure on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, Mr. Abdoulkarim Ouattara, Deputy General Director of LONACI, addressed the participants at the institution’s headquarters in Marcory.

Speaking to the children, Mr. Ouattara encouraged them to remain vigilant, behave responsibly, and care for one another throughout the camp.

“Be vigilant, be wise, and look out for each other. If your neighbor or your friend does not feel well, do not wait and do not try to intervene yourself. Immediately alert the supervisors (…) On behalf of Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, General Director of LONACI and President of the LONACI Board of Directors, I wish you a good trip and an excellent stay. May this experience be the most beautiful for you. And thank you also to the parents.”

The participants, aged between 7 and 20, will take part in an educational and recreational programme designed to help them develop new skills.

According to Mrs. Dominique M’Bahia, Director of Social Action at the LONACI Foundation, the programme will also promote living together, mutual support, and acceptance of others.

She said the activities will cover entrepreneurship, leadership, and sustainable development around cotton, while pottery workshops will be held in Bouaké and Katiola. Participants will also learn report writing, healthy eating habits, and take part in morning sports activities.

For the first edition of the summer camp, the LONACI Foundation partnered with Transfaura Academy, a company approved by the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure to organise summer camps.
