After two months of nationwide celebrations, the National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) officially concluded its 55th anniversary festivities with a prestigious gala dinner held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. The closing ceremony brought together several high-level dignitaries, institutional partners, and key stakeholders.

Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Vassogbo Bamba, Deputy Chief of Staff representing the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget and Patron of the Ceremony; representatives of the Grand Chancellor of the National Order; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of LONACI; the Director General, Mr. Youssouf Fofana; Deputy General Manager, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly; as well as members of the Steering Committee and numerous partners of the institution.

In his keynote address, the Director General of LONACI reflected on the institution’s remarkable evolution since its establishment. He emphasized LONACI’s transformation into a key economic player, internationally certified organization, contributor to social infrastructure development, and a leading reference in Africa’s gaming sector. He also paid tribute to the collective efforts of management, staff, and partners whose commitment has driven the company’s sustained success.

A key highlight of the evening was the draw of the Kadolo game, organized as part of the anniversary celebrations. The grand prize winner, Mr. N’Cho Boussou, received a brand-new vehicle. The second prize winner was awarded a television set, while the third prize winner received an iPhone 17 Pro.

Over the course of the two-month celebrations, LONACI implemented a series of nationwide activities, including promotional caravans, exhibitions, concerts, community outreach programs, media engagements, youth talent initiatives, and panel discussions.

These activities strengthened the company’s engagement with the public while showcasing its social and economic impact across Côte d’Ivoire. Marking 55 years of existence, LONACI reaffirmed its commitment not only to its legacy but also to future growth, innovation, and the promotion of responsible gaming as a driver of development and progress for the benefit of the Ivorian population.
