The Responsible Gaming caravan of LONACI ended the first leg of its nationwide awareness campaign in Aboisso on August 2, 2026. It reinforced efforts to promote responsible gambling and protect minors from gaming activities.

The campaign, which ran from July 19 to August 2, visited Korhogo, Bouaké, Yamoussoukro and Abengourou, where LONACI teams engaged players and stakeholders across the commercial network on responsible gaming practices.

Led by Head of Quality and Responsible Gaming Service, Mr. Essan Antoine, and Responsible Gaming Manager, Ms. Fatou Keita, the caravan visited points of sale and commercial spaces to engage with sellers, dealers, players and LONACI staff.

The campaign focused on preventing gambling addiction by encouraging players to gamble responsibly, wager only what they can afford to lose, avoid chasing losses and know when to stop once they reach their limits.

Protecting minors was also a central message throughout the tour. The caravan reminded stakeholders that minors must not enter gaming points of sale or participate in gambling activities, while urging sellers and dealers to remain vigilant in preventing underage access to games.

According to LONACI, the initiative forms part of the vision of General Director Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, which places prevention, the protection of vulnerable groups and the promotion of responsible gaming among the institution’s priorities.

With its first tour completed, LONACI reaffirmed its commitment to healthy, controlled, and responsible gambling as entertainment, not addiction.
