South Africa’s National Lotteries Commission (NLC) has announced the appointment of King Tembinkosi Bonakele as the new Chairperson of its Board, marking a new phase for the Commission as it works to strengthen governance, accountability, and oversight in the lottery sector.
Bonakele’s appointment comes as South Africa advances reforms to improve how the National Lottery is administered and to enhance transparency in how lottery proceeds are allocated.
