The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) would like to inform the public and all stakeholders that Fox Bet, operating under the brand Mel Bet, has ceased operations in Uganda and is no longer licensed by the Board, effective January 1, 2026.

Players with accounts at this operator are strongly encouraged to withdraw any remaining funds immediately and to close their betting accounts.

The NLGRB stresses the importance of playing only with licensed and regulated gaming operators. Engaging with unlicensed platforms poses serious risks, including potential loss of funds and lack of regulatory protection or recourse in the event of disputes.

This action is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the integrity of Uganda’s gaming sector and ensure that all operators comply with national regulations. Licensed operators provide a safer, fairer, and more transparent gaming environment, protecting both players and the wider industry.

The NLGRB urges all players to stay informed about licensed gaming providers and to report any suspicious or unlicensed activities to the Board.
