Projects, Premier Bet Tanzania

Premier Projects, the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) division of Premier Bet, announced the opening of the Premier Projects Basketball Arena in Kigamboni, Dar Es Salaam today.

They invested their resources in building a high-end basketball academy to support the young and talented basketball players of Dar es Salaam.

Premier Projects Basketball Academy and Arena

Premier Projects Academy is a basketball school where young and passionate kids will have the opportunity to practice and develop their skills. The students will access coaches and high-standard equipment to support their evolution. This new academy is a sports complex with a 28x15m basketball Arena, the same size as an NBA court, an outdoor Gym with nine machines, changing rooms, seating areas, and dorms.

Additionally, this complex is open to the whole community when not used for Premier Projects students. Premier Bet Tanzania Director of Operations, Sami Matar, stated that

“The goals are to bring “sport to all “ and to ensure that everyone in Kigamboni can access and enjoy this new facility.”

Premier Bet CSR programme

Premier Bet has actively developed its activity in Tanzania for over five years. As part of Premier Bet’s CSR objective, Premier Projects is using its core activity, sports, to give back to the incredible community in which Premier Bet operates! They aim to create a link with the community.

A project in collaboration with local governing bodies

This project was developed under the guidance of the Tanzania Basketball Federation (TBF) and with the support of the Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT) and the Kigamboni municipality. Their respective dedicated work is making a considerable impact on the basketball entertainment industry in Tanzania.

Thanks to MP of Kigamboni Faustine Mbalwe, Gaming board Director James Mbalwe, District Commissioner Fatma Nyagasa, Head of the national sports council Neema Msitha, and Tanzania Basketball Federation President Michael Kadebe. We were also honoured with the presence of Charles Francis, a former NBA player who used to play with the New York Knicks from 1992 to 1996.
