RDB Suspends Forzza Over Alleged Repeated Gaming Violations

Officials at Baron Sports Gaming Ltd, commonly known as Forzza, said they were “surprised” after the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) suspended the company’s operations with immediate effect, citing repeated violations of Rwanda’s gaming regulations.

In a statement released on Thursday, July 30, RDB said the suspension covers all Forzza outlets, agents, digital platforms, and any other gambling-related activities nationwide. RDB directed the company to immediately stop operations and remove all advertising and promotional materials linked to its services.

According to the regulator, the decision follows findings that Forza repeatedly offered casino-style games beyond the scope of its approved license, contrary to Rwanda’s gaming law.

Speaking to The New Times, Eric Rutayisire, Managing Director of Forzza, said: “We are also surprised by this decision as we have not yet received a full explanation from RDB regarding what went wrong. We have no comment on the situation at this time.”

RDB also urged members of the public to avoid participating in any games or activities organized by Forzza until further notice. The suspension is the latest regulatory action by RDB against gambling operators accused of breaching licensing conditions.

In October 2025, RDB terminated the license of Inzozi Lotto, which had been authorized to operate the National Lottery, citing the company’s failure to meet contractual and regulatory obligations.

RDB has also previously suspended Kings Bet Ltd license after accusing the operator of persistent breaches and failing to comply with regulator directives.
