President William Ruto has reappointed Lucy Waruingi as Chairperson of the Governing Board of the Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund for a three-year term, effective immediately. In a gazette notice dated on August 7, Ruto also appointed Benson Ngure as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO).
In the transport sector, Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir reappointed Anna Makawa, Dominic Koskei, and Annastacia Musyimi as members of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority board. The three will serve for three years, effective August 7. Chirchir also appointed Mohamed Abdille as a member of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) board for a three-year term.
At the same time, Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Muga reappointed Patrick Musili Mbangula as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Water Institute Board for three years, and reappointed Mwololo Benjamin Kyalo as a member of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority for another three-year term.
In the wildlife sector, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano reappointed George Mosiori, Mark Rotich, and Jane Meriwas as members of the Governing Board of the Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund.
The National Lottery Board also received a new member after Gender and Culture Cabinet Secretary Hanna Cheptumo appointed Caroline Jerobon Rotich for three years. Cheptumo, in the same announcement, revoked the appointment of Teresia Jerusah Michael with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Trade Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui appointed Aaron Nanok as Chairperson of the Kenya Trade Remedies Agency Board for a three-year term, effective August 7, 2026.
In education, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba made multiple appointments and re-appointments to university governing bodies. Ogamba reappointed Professor Ezra Maritim as Chairperson of the Open University of Kenya Council, along with Lawrence Muchilwa, Susan Kiragu, and McOkwiri Kevin Juma as members for three years.
He also appointed additional members to the Nyandarua University College Council, including Mumbi Kahindu, Christine Jepyegon Ronoh, Job Wafula Chelongo, Kariuki Peter Maru, and Julius Obare Mokogi.
Other appointments by Ogamba included Fatuma Abdi as a member of the Laikipia University Council and David Gikungu as a member of the Meru University of Science and Technology Council, each for three-year terms. In agriculture and livestock development, Mutahi Kagwe appointed Bootsy Mutiso as a member of the KALRO Board for a three-year term.
