Ulrik Bengtsson, Chief Executive Officer of Sun International, recently announced the appointment of Nomzamo Radebe as the new Chief Operating Officer for Hospitality and Sales, effective February 2.
Bengtsson expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This marks another exciting step in our progression as we continue to build Sun International’s world-class capabilities. Radebe, a chartered accountant, brings over 27 years of experience as a property executive in the real estate sector, with 20 of those years spent in senior leadership roles. Her impressive resume includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at SA Corporate Real Estate Ltd and CEO of Excellerate JHI. She has also held roles as Chief Investment Officer and Financial Director at Pareto Limited and served as a Director at National Treasury.
Radebe is a board member of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) and has received several industry honors, including the Five Star Woman Award and the Institute of People Management (IPM) Business Leader of the Year. Her extensive experience in property asset management and portfolio optimization includes leading high-performing teams managing property portfolios valued at over R10 billion. She has a strong background in driving strategic growth, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance, along with expertise in property redevelopment, business repositioning, and digital transformation.
Radebe’s strategic focus areas also encompass mergers and acquisitions, treasury management, and stakeholder engagement. Known as an astute business leader, Radebe has earned respect for her strategic insights, industry influence, and ability to inspire and engage people at all levels. “I am excited to join a strong brand like Sun International.
