Time Square Casino Makes Bryan O’Connor as General Manager

Time Square Casino is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan O’Connor as its new General Manager, marking his return to the property.

With more than 20 years of experience in the gambling and casino industry, O’Connor brings expertise in leadership, operations, and customer experience. His career demonstrates a strong track record of guiding teams, driving innovation, and delivering results in fast-changing casino environments.

O’Connor began his career as a Training Officer at Sugar Mill Casino in KwaZulu-Natal, where he developed a solid foundation in employee development and operational excellence. In 2017, he joined the newly developed Time Square Casino complex in Pretoria and played an instrumental role in establishing the Food and Beverage department. His performance led to a promotion to Operations Manager in 2020.

In May 2024, O’Connor was appointed General Manager at Carnival City. In that role, he led initiatives that enhanced innovation, strengthened team engagement, and improved problem-solving capabilities in a rapidly evolving gaming landscape.

Now returning to Time Square, O’Connor will focus on further enhancing the property’s performance and guest experience. “I am honoured to be stepping into this position,” said O’Connor. “I look forward to working alongside the team at Time Square to not only meet but exceed the expectations of our guests.”

O’Connor holds a National Diploma in Hospitality Management and a BTech degree in Human Resource Development. He is known for a people-focused leadership style and is passionate about building high-performing teams and achieving operational excellence. Outside of work, he is an avid long-distance runner, a passion that reflects his commitment to discipline, goal-setting, and continuous improvement.
