Winners Incorporated, the prominent sports gaming and casino firm in Liberia, has been honored with two prestigious awards by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) for its significant contributions to sports in the country, particularly during the recent 2022-2023 National County Sports Meet.

During the 26th Edition of the National County Sports Meet, Nimba County emerged as the victors in a thrilling 3-2 football match against Lofa County at the Samuel Kanyon Doe SKD Sports Stadium in Paynesville, successfully defending their championship title. Lofa and Sinoe were crowned champions in the kickball and basketball categories, respectively. As a special guest at the event, Winners Incorporated took the initiative to generously contribute $2,000,000 Liberian Dollars as well as individual awards to players and winners of the prestigious tournament.

In a ceremony held at Winners Inc.’s headquarters on Board Street, Monrovia, Eric Jallah, Special Assistant to Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Andy Quamie, presented the awards to Winners Inc. and its owner, Yacob Batshon. Jallah expressed his appreciation to Winners Incorporated for their support of the National County Sports Meet and acknowledged the company’s significant contributions to the event. He emphasized the importance of sponsorship in sports and encouraged Winners Inc. to continue their support of the tournament.

“We thank you for all you did during the county meet because without sponsorship we could not achieve what we achieved,” Jallah stated, emphasizing the pivotal role that sponsorship plays in recognizing and rewarding winners and players.

Winners Incorporated’s spokesperson, Tito S. Ballie, expressed their satisfaction with the awards, noting that they reflect the company’s commitment to creating trends and providing support to sports in Liberia beyond gaming. Ballie shared the company’s excitement for being part of history-making and highlighted their continuous efforts to bring innovative gaming ideas to the industry.

“We are very pleased with the win, as it reflects one of the most important values inherent in Winners: the desire to create trends and be more supportive to sports in the country than just gaming,” Ballie stated. “We aim to set the benchmark in the sports betting industry of Liberia.”

The recognition from the Ministry of Youth and Sports affirms the merits of Winners Incorporated’s dedication and hard work throughout the year. As a leader in the competitive gambling industry, Winners Inc. remains committed to supporting sports in Liberia and contributing to its growth and development.
