Two lucky individuals have become instant multi-millionaires after winning the Powerball Plus and Lotto jackpots in recent draws, as announced by National Lottery Ithuba.
The first winner hit the Powerball jackpot, winning an impressive R25,345,306.90 from the draw on June 27, 2025. This fortunate player utilized a banking app to place a R37.50 wager and opted for the Quick Pick selection method.
In a remarkable turn of events, the second winner claimed the Lotto jackpot from the draw on June 28, 2025, receiving a staggering R8,952,821.60. This ticket was purchased from a store in Potchefstroom in the Northwest, with a manual selection method and a wager of R80.
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza expressed her excitement, stating, “This weekend was truly remarkable, with one player hitting the Powerball jackpot and another scooping the Lotto jackpot. Both winners took a chance on different National Lottery games, and it paid off spectacularly. Ithuba encourages both winners to come forward and claim their winnings as soon as possible. “The winner who played through a banking app has been notified by their bank, and we urge the participant who played at a retailer in Potchefstroom to promptly check their tickets.“
