LONACI Awards New Land Ownership Certificates to Concessionaires

LONACI Awards Land Ownership Certificates to 30 Concessionaires

The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) has awarded land ownership certificates to 30 concessionaires under its “Un concessionnaire, un toit” (One Concessionaire, One Roof) initiative, as part of efforts to improve the welfare of its distribution partners.

The certificates were symbolically presented on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at LONACI’s headquarters in Marcory-Biétry, Côte d’Ivoire. The ceremony was attended by Deputy General Director AbdoulKarim Ouattara, representing Director General Dramane Coulibaly, alongside members of management, department heads and concessionaires.

The initiative is led by the Mutuelle des concessionaires, with support from LONACI’s management. It covers a 10-hectare site divided into plots of 500 square meters in the Attinguié-Songon and Adokoi-Village areas.

Each plot is valued at CFA 6.5 million, with LONACI contributing CFA 3 million per plot. The contribution is repayable through deductions from concessionaire’s commissions, providing beneficiaries with an alternative to high-interest borrowing. The scheme is also covered by a partner insurer.

According to LONACI, 210 concessionaires have enrolled in the project, which aims to improve access to land ownership and strengthen the financial security of its distribution network.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy General Director AbdoulKarim Ouattara said the initiative recognizes the commitment of concessionaires who have dedicated their professional activities to distributing LONACI products.

He explained that the company’s financial contribution represents 40% of the cost of each plot and reflects its commitment to supporting the welfare of its partners.

Tra Honoré, president of the Mutuelle des concessionaires, welcomed the initiative, highlighting the challenges of securing housing in Abidjan. He described the project as a significant step towards addressing concessionaire’s housing needs and expressed appreciation for the support provided by LONACI’s management.

The “One Concessionaire, One Roof” initiative forms part of LONACI’s broader social support efforts, with the latest certificate presentation marking a key milestone in its implementation.
