The Gaming Commission of Ghana has emerged as the overall winner of the 2026 Inter-Agency Cooking Competition, held on October 29, at the Ghana Prisons Service Headquarters volleyball court in Accra.
The competition brought together ten agencies under Ghana’s Ministry of the Interior, including the ministry itself, to celebrate creativity, culinary talent and teamwork while strengthening relationships and promoting unity among participating institutions.
The Gaming Commission secured first place in both the cooking and dancing categories. The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) finished second, while the Ghana Prisons Service took third place. The event was attended by senior officials and distinguished guests, including the Acting Gaming Commissioner, Dr Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo.
The Commission attributed its success to the dedication, teamwork and enthusiasm of its staff, who demonstrated their culinary and dancing abilities throughout the competition. In a statement, the Gaming Commission congratulated the participating agencies and expressed appreciation to the Ministry of the Interior for its leadership in organizing the event.
It also commended its management, staff and supporters for their contributions to the achievement. The competition provided an opportunity for agencies under the Ministry of the Interior to strengthen institutional relationships beyond their regular responsibilities, while promoting collaboration and a shared sense of community.
The Gaming Commission said the victory reflected its commitment to teamwork, unity and excellence.
