Young Africans Football Club proudly announced their remarkable achievement of winning the Premier League title and the Federation Cup for the third consecutive season. The handover ceremony was held in Dar es Salaam, attended by key figures including SportPesa Tanzania’s Board of Directors Chairman, Tarimba Abbas, and Young Africans Chief Executive Officer, Andre Mtine, along with club officials, players, and esteemed guests.
Mr. Abbas extended heartfelt congratulations to the players, technical staff, and leadership of Young Africans for their unwavering commitment and exceptional performance. “SportPesa is proud of our sponsorship relationship with Young Africans. We have never regretted it because we partner with a club that is professionally managed.” he stated.
He highlighted the importance of the partnership: “We have fulfilled our contractual promises without delay. Young Africans is a self-sufficient team, and we are pleased to hand over a check for 537.5 million Tanzanian Shillings today.”
Sabrina Msuya, SportPesa Tanzania’s Head of Corporate Communications, echoed these sentiments, praising Young Africans for their successful season, which included not only the Premier League and Federation Cup victories but also reaching the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League.
The President of Young Africans, Hersi Said, expressed gratitude toward SportPesa for their timely support. “We are happy to officially receive this bonus for our recent achievements, and we appreciate SportPesa’s commitment to our club,” he noted.
Said further emphasized: “This is our third consecutive season winning the Premier League and receiving bonuses from SportPesa. We are dedicated to building a strong and competitive team to continue promoting our main sponsor, SportPesa.”
This year marks a significant milestone for SportPesa, as they celebrate seven years of supporting Young Africans and contributing to the growth of football in Tanzania.
