DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has received regulatory approval Gambling License to operate in South Africa, advancing its international expansion strategy and strengthening its presence in high-growth global markets. The digital entertainment company, led by Chairman Eusebio Tanco, announced that it has been granted licenses by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB), enabling its formal entry into South Africa’s online gaming sector.

The approvals include three key authorizations: a national manufacturer license, a bookmaker license, and a bookmaker premises license. These permits provide DigiPlus with the regulatory clearance to establish and operate a range of gaming services within the jurisdiction.

The WCGRB oversees approximately 31 percent of South Africa’s online gaming revenue, positioning the region as a strategically significant gateway for international operators seeking access to one of Africa’s most dynamic digital gaming markets. The broader South African online gaming industry was estimated to generate approximately $4.9 billion in revenue in 2025, reflecting strong growth potential and increasing digital adoption among consumers.

This development represents DigiPlus’ second major international expansion, following its entry into Brazil. The company previously announced plans to commence full commercial operations in the Brazilian market in the first half of 2026. DigiPlus, known for its digital entertainment platforms including BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, continues to scale its international footprint as part of its long-term growth strategy.

The company cited South Africa’s transparent regulatory environment, strong digital infrastructure, and market readiness as key factors influencing its decision to expand into the region. According to DigiPlus, this move aligns with its broader objective of expanding into high-potential international markets while reinforcing its position in the global digital gaming industry.
