All gambling operators in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) must register on the new national gambling platform by 31 July 2026. Those that fail to register by the deadline will face administrative sanctions.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Ministry of Finance ordered the registration as part of a broader overhaul of the country’s gambling sector. The ministry said it has been mandated to lead the reform programme following decisions taken by the Council of Ministers.

Under the reforms, the industry will operate under a new regulatory framework, including a draft Gambling and Games of Chance Law currently being considered by Parliament. As part of the transition, operators are required to complete mandatory registration on the national platform by the end of July.

The pilot phase of the reform is scheduled to end on 30 August 2026. The ministry warned that operators who do not connect to the platform before the end of the pilot phase will be subject to administrative penalties under the country’s regulatory framework.

The national platform is designed to enable real-time monitoring of gambling transactions and financial flows, strengthening regulatory oversight and improving public revenue collection. Implementation is being supervised by the Gambling and Games of Chance Monitoring Unit (CSJA), which is responsible for regulating and monitoring the gambling sector.

The ministry said the platform is being deployed with support from a technical partner chosen through the DRC’s public procurement process, with the necessary approvals obtained before the contract was signed. Overall, the reforms aim to modernize gambling regulation, strengthen regulatory control, and improve monitoring of licensed gambling activity across the country.
